Mark McCabe is an accomplished technology and start-up leader, currently Director of Global Mobile Payments at Western Union. Mr. McCabe has worked with CITI Bank developing mobile strategies in the digital money, wallet and NFC space. Before that he was part of the senior management at RAZZ, a global publisher of entertainment software and services for mobile phones.
Mr. McCabe has also held positions at Microsoft, Casio, and e-Planet, where he developed numerous concepts for consumer electronics, services and applications for such partners as Logitech, Intel, Disney and Kodak. Mr. McCabe started his career at Interval Research, a Silicon Valley think tank focused on consumer technology and products. There, he developed technologies in media identification, mobile computing and computer human interfaces. Mr. McCabe has degrees in design and engineering from the University of East Anglia, the University of Wales, and a Masters from the Royal College of Art in London.
