Ideas on where to rest up during #AppsWorld


Apps World have teamed up with a number of selected hotels in and around the Earls Court area to arrange a discounted rate for all apps world visitors during the event period.  We have a variety of hotel rates to suit individual budgets.

Hotels viewed under “Event Hotels” have a limited allocation of room nights at a discounted rate, booked on a first come basis.  Hotels viewed under “other hotels” have their best available rates at the time of searching displayed.

Top tip: It is worth remembering that Apps World is taking place during a busy period so we do recommend booking accommodation early to receive the best rates.

This year’s networking drinks will be taking place at The Old Firestation in Hammersmith after the first day of Apps World at 7:30pm on the 29th November.

Formerly Hammersmith’s busy Fire Station, the amazingly unique space has been transformed perfectly into a lounge bar, dining room and conservatory with adjoining courtyard providing the perfect environment for some chilled networking after an action packed day!

The networking drinks will be free to attend for all sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and paid delegates and will run until late with complimentary drinks on arrival.

The 6 Biggest Mobile App Trends For 2012 from Logia Group


2011 was an interesting year for the mobile industry to say the least. From the rebirth of the Windows 7 Mobile platform to apps such as WhatsApp, and Viber shattering the long running rule of SMS and calling costs.

This year also brought with it a host of new devices in our ever changing mobile market. From the launch of the iPad 2 to the release of Samsung’s Galaxy S2, the thinner, faster, brighter trend continued very much as expected.

To pinpoint one of the biggest shifts in mobile over 2011, it would have to be the surge of new tablets.  The number of mobile broadband-enabled tablets (e.g., Apple iPad, Motorola Xoom, BlackBerry PlayBook, HP TouchPad, etc…) sold in the second quarter versus the first quarter jumped 80%, with 14 million tablets sold worldwide in Q2, 2011.

How Google TV is going to change home entertainment
