Attendance of Apps World Europe is set to double this October

There are many reasons why you should register for Apps World Europe now but the fact that the show, which will be held in London’s Earls Court 2, from 22-23 October, promises to be bigger and better than ever is perhaps the biggest reason.

The Apps World Europe show, which this year celebrates its fourth birthday, has doubled in size and will see more than 8,000 delegates visit more than 250 exhibitors for two days of top level networking, meetings, workshop streams and awards. Every day millions of people surf onto company websites throughout the world. And every day millions of opportunities to convert the website traffic into app downloads is lost. This is because getting a user from a website into the app store to download your specific app, remains one of the biggest challenges for marketers out there.

Yes, we see some great call to action buttons. And yes, plenty of apps are prominently displayed on websites. But the fact remains that the disconnect between mobile and web is causing potential app downloads to bleed off.  Most bluntly, the typical computer user browsing on a regular desktop might simply pick up their mobile device and search on the app store.  Here, the indirect nature of the download path, combined with human nature, means downloads are lost as people become distracted throughout the search process.

The free to attend two day Enterprise Zone track at Apps World North America, in Moscone Center West, San Francisco on February 7-8 is bursting at the seams with top-class content and features companies including Rackspace, Intel and Los Angeles World Airports among others.

The consumerisation of IT and the increased prevalence of mobile in the enterprise is a pivotal discussion point, and the free to attend two day Enterprise Zone track features countless highlights from expert names in the field of enterprise apps.

The track looks into all facets of enterprise applications from intuitiveness, to design, and security, as well as touching on peripheral subjects such as the enterprise app store and BYOD.

We are delighted to announce that the official networking party will be taking place on the 7th of February from 7:30pm. This will follow on from the first of the two day extravaganza of developers, marketers, enterprise mobility experts and apps industry professionals gathering together to share their insight and expertise.

The party will be taking place at Mezzanine. Centrally located at 444 Jessie Street, Mezzanine is nestled in the heart of San Francisco’s downtown district and is a short walk from Moscone Center and the event hotels. The Mezzanine is just off 6th street on Jessie street, before you reach Mint Plaza. There’s a map here.

Major telecoms carriers AT&T and Verizon, payment providers Capital One and MasterCard, along with industry analysts Yankee Group and Strategy Analytics will all be present giving their varied expertise at the mobile payments event and conference at Apps World North America, on February 7-8 at Moscone Center West, San Francisco.

There’s a huge race on for mind and market share in the mobile payments space, with banks, operators, platform owners and card issuers all fighting for a piece of the action.

The one-day mobile payments event will be of interest to anyone looking to incorporate a payments solution, in both the enterprise and consumer spheres.

Highlights of the first day’s track will include a panel on understanding the market opportunity and challenges for payment acceptance apps lead by CreditCall‘s Sian Bosley with expert contribution from MasterCard, PayPal and Intuit.
