Is someone telling you porkies about app development? By @5app.

Technology start-up 5app, the app toolkit vendor, has launched a series of videos that document the popular misconceptions surrounding mobile enterprise app development. Whilst designing the 5app Toolkit, 5app uncovered a number of common misconceptions that were somewhat absurd. With that in mind, they decided to recreate individuals’ experiences in a bid to dispel some of these myths.

In the run up to Apps World 2012 5app wanted to share with budding developers, three popular scenarios that are often encountered – You can watch the videos on YouTube, on Facebook page or Google+:

  1. Hugo Vice and his company, GangsterApps, are the sort of people you want to avoid when commissioning an enterprise app. Don’t get ripped off…
  2. We meet an Android developer who has some strong and questionable opinions on why he thinks native is best.
  3. Would you trust this Apple iOS developer, as he explains that native apps are just better? We tend to side with his modest friend…

The tongue-in-cheek enactments are based on real scenarios that 5app witnessed while striving to become one of the most innovative mobile enterprise app developers in the market.

5app’s toolkit enables business software developers to build applications that will communicate reliably even when reception is intermittent. An advantage of designing the 5app toolkit is that 5app fully understand the challenges faced by developers on each platform – the aim of these videos is not to discredit anyone, but rather to make light of the popular misconceptions.

The 5app team will be appearing at Apps World 2012 on stand 159 – come along and try the 5app Toolkit at the show. To register for your free exhibition pass please click here.
