Michael heads up BuzzCity’s media team, which aggregates and syndicates content including games, music and video to a global audience of mobile internet users, and also runs the company’s community site, myGamma. Michael has experience in both publishing and agency environments and has developed BuzzCity’s insights into mobile usage to innovate our wider ad network offering.

Prior to heading up the media team Michael was responsible for the management of BuzzCity’s South Africa office, founded in 2009.

Michael’s knowledge of mobile marketing has led to a number of speaking opportunities at global marketing, telecoms and digital content industry events.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a postgraduate degree in Management from the University of the Witwatersrand Business School, Johannesburg.

In his role at Arsenal FC Rupert is responsible for developing content driven Global Partnerships across multiple industry sectors - with a special focus on integrated digital technologies and telecommunications to engage Arsenal’s 150 million global fans.

Jakob Lykkegaard is a young entrepreneur from Denmark. When he was 21, he decided to skip a very good job at SPAMfighter and business university to chase the good life in Thailand. In Thailand, he co-founded Pagemodo.com, an online service to create custom Facebook Pages. More than 80,000 businesses used Pagemodo in only six months. Pagemodo has been featured on Techcrunch and elsewhere for being the first proper pagebuilder in the market.

Webs.com acquired Pagemodo in Jan 2011, so Pagemodo is now part of the major venture-backed website builder serving over 50 million small businesses. Jakob is still in a leading role at Pagemodo and keeping a finger on everything that moves on social media. Jakob is also passionate about the property market and investing in properties and Thailand based startups on the sideline. He sees Asia as the new tech hotbed.

Farid Maruf, Country Technology Manager, Grameen Foundation. In 2007, after a career in ICT spanning 25 years in private sector, Farid decided to give back to the community and  leverage his knowledge and expertise on behalf of solutions for the poor. Since then he has managed projects with USAID, AusAID, and the World Bank, and now with the Grameen Foundation, focused on poverty alleviation through combining the power of micro-finance and technology. Farid currently directs the Grameen Foundation's AppLab Indonesia.  This unique partnership is creating and delivering mobile livelihood applications enabling the poor to become micro-entrepreneurs using mobile technologies and microfinance loans. Recently this project received worldwide recognition as the 'Global Telecom Business 2011' award for Most Innovative Mobile Application.

Previously, Farid designed and managed ICT solutions for wide variety of public and private sector organizations..  His career in ICT includes operational positions as programmer, system analyst, project manager, CIO , and culminated in his role as strategic advisor to the Board for a prominent telecommunications company in Jakarta. He managed numerous projects outside of Indonesia, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and the US.. He earned his BS degree in economics from University of Gadjah Mada and an MBA in Finance from National University.

Mr. Labonte is currently Director of APAC Business Development for Mobile and IP location solutions at CommScope.  He advises telecom carriers on technology and business issues, validated using business case modelling. He has over 20 years of Asian telecom expertise in wireless solutions and telecom applications including IMS, NGN, VoIP, Real time Charging, & middleware.  He has experience in product management and development for bringing solutions to carriers in Europe, Australia, Asia, the Pacific, and Canada.

Steve is one of the Asia Pacific region's leaders in the use of smart technology to engage and influence the behaviours of people. He's a student of the evolution of social networking platforms, and is particularly passionate about making it easier for brands migrate to connecting and engaging their people in new ways.

Over the last ten years, Steve has launched two companies, the first being Accumulate, an employee, channel and customer loyalty company that he sold to Wishlist Holdings Ltd. (majority owned by venture capital firms JP Morgan & Allen & Buckeridge) in 2004.

Rajiv Kumar is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of RockeTalk, India’s leading and biggest mobile social network. 

Mr. Kumar’s articulated, strategized, designed and launched RockeTalk the revolutionary product in the genre of mobile technology domain in early 2008. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in raising capital and forming strategic partnerships for young operating companies; and has always been associated with path-breaking technologies. Rajiv Kumar is one of the founders of the Bluetooth Technology with three patents on Bluetooth registered in his name.
