Michael is responsible for defining and implementing the BlackBerry® Alliance Partner programme strategy for Sub Sahara Africa. This includes recruiting new partners to the eco-system as well as working with existing partners on their product and go-to-market strategies. Michael also provides development support for regional partners that develop solutions on the BlackBerry® platform. After completing his education, Michael worked as an IT specialist for a global bluechip company in Scotland before joining Research In Motion (RIM) in 2002. Michael joined RIM as a server support specialist. He then joined the training department and worked as a technical trainer for the BlackBerry® solution.
From 2006 to 2007, Michael was based in Johannesburg as a technical account manager. He joined the global alliances team to work as a senior application development consultant based in the UK. In March 2010, Michael returned to South Africa to support the local partner community.
